The year-end world No.1 plans to turn 'that' US Open moment into a positive by raising money for charity, but has she gone too far with recent comments?
Remember Serena Williams’ outburst at the US Open final?
You know the one – she got a tad angry, reeled off a volley of expletives and threatened a line judge for calling a foot fault.
Wed never suggest it might slip the mind of such a clued-up bunch, but somewhat surprisingly of all people it is Serena who wants to make sure that nobody forgets the incident. Or at least thats what she has now achieved by posting a blog on a celebrity website in an effort to clear things up.
First things first – let’s talk figures. I was not fined [$82,000], she clarifies I was fined $92,000.
Thats just over a quarter of her prize fund for reaching the US Open semi-final, in case you were wondering.
