All you Roddick fans out there, have any of you noticed that he is using a new tennis racket? Well, he is, and the world No.6 – and newlywed American – is now playing with the new Babolat Pure Drive Roddick, which is ideal for players with full and fast swings.
The alternative version, the Babolat Pure Drive (which is used by Austrian Sybille Bammer, Igor Andreev, Carlos Moya and Li Na), has also been launched, which has the same head size but is a tad lighter.
The rackets are in stores now after their May release and this exciting 2009 Pure Drive racket range has been enhanced even more with the addition of Babolat’s exclusive new GT Technology featuring Tungsten graphite, which brings more control to the game, facilitating power with even greater precision.
In addition to these benefits the 2009 Pure Drive range boasts a trendy new look, while still conserving its cool blue colour.
The Pure Drive has been around for 15 years now, making it a prestigious and trademark racket on the tour, and over that time has been enhanced with innovations such as the Woofer, the Cortex System and now GT technology.
It certainly has proven to do the job too. In the last decade three world No.1s have frolicked on the court with the Pure Drive: Carlos Moya, Andy Roddick and Kim Clijsters.
The range is also available in extended and junior versions – so what are you waiting for?
Trivia Babolat equips 20% of the top 100 players on the ATP Tour and Sony Ericsson WTA Tour including Rafael Nadal (Spain, world No.1), Andy Roddick (USA, world No.6) and Dinara Safina (Russia, world No.1).
