Bollettieri has had a hand in developing the careers of 10 world No.1s

Tennis legend Nick Bollettieri will be sharing his unrivalled coaching experience at a two-day event in Northampton in June

The American is credited with founding the modern concept of a sporting academy and has had a hand in developing the careers of 10 world No.1s, including Andre Agassi, Boris Becker, Maria Sharapova and the Williams sisters. He developed the first tennis academy to combine sport and education and is regarded as one of the most influential coaches in tennis.

The “On Court and Personal” event at Kings Park, Northampton from June 21-22 will offer coaches, parents and players a unique insight into Bollettieri’s legendary coaching methods. The sessions will focus on on-court drills as well as covering topics such as what are the duties of a coach, the benefits of individual teaching compared to group teaching and the pyramid between student, parent and coach. There will also be a question and answer session on both days.

The event runs from 1-6pm on Saturday and Sunday and bookings close on June 3. The cost, including handouts and free DVD downloads, for British Tennis Coaches Association members is £50 per day while for non-members it is £75 and for youngsters under the age of 16 it is £25. Alternatively, five LTA licence credits apply for each day.
