Hutchins and Huss shock French Open fourth seeds
After Andy Murray's fine win last night, fellow Brit Ross Hutchins scores the biggest victory of his career on Thursday.
British doubles No.2 Ross Hutchins enjoyed one of the biggest wins of his career on Thursday when he and Aussie Stephen Huss put out French Open fourth seeds Mark Knowles and Mahesh Bhupathi.
The 23-year-old from Surrey (son of former British Davis Cup captain Paul) teamed up with Huss (a former Wimbledon doubles champion) for a shock 6-4, 6-4 victory as the doubles events finally kicked off on day five of the Paris grand slam.
Hutchins, who has a doubles world ranking of No.87, was making his debut at Roland Garros.
The victory earns the pair a shot at either Americans Scott Lipsky and David Martin or the Croat/Czech combo of Ivan Ljubicic and Petr Pala.
