Davis Cup final to be held in Seville

The Olympic Stadium in Seville has been selected by the Spanish Tennis Federation to host the Davis Cup final between Spain and Argentina from December 2-4

The Spanish Tennis Federation have nominated the Olympic Stadium in Seville as the venue for the 2011 Davis Cup by BNP Paribas final.

Four-time champions Spain will host Argentina on a clay court under a temporary roof in the World Group showdown on 2-4 December.

The Olympic Stadium also hosted the Davis Cup final in 2004, when a young Rafael Nadal helped Spain beat the USA in front of 27,200 daily spectators for their second Davis Cup win, four years after their first.

The Olympic Stadium’s total capacity is over 57,000, although only half of that is set to be in use for the Davis Cup final.
