Win a PIQ tennis sensor - the tennis coach you can wear on your wrist
PIQ has collaborated with Babolat for its new POP wristband, and if the POP (RRP £69.95) is tennis’ answer to a Swatch, the PIQ sensor (£129) is the Apple Watch.
While the POP requires a smart phone to access the feedback – defining backhands, forehands and serves as well as measuring spin, power, rally lengths and number of shots per minute – the PIQ sensor has a screen. So if you hit a cracking serve, you can instantly see how fast it was.
What’s more, PIQ can be used across a multitude of activities, including golf and skiing with more sports to be launched in 2016. The clever folk at PIQ have designed sport-specific accessories that work with the sensor to capture valuable data. So, the tennis bundle comes with a wristband to house the sensor and collect the all important data from your wrist - just make sure you remember to wear it on your dominant wrist!
As well as real time data on the wrist display while on court, the sensor records all your shots so you can relive your game and track your progress via an app on your smart phone. Share your data and challenge your friends.
‘Have fun, play better’ is the company’s motto - and the lightweight sensor certainly adds a new dimension to your game.
