Grass courts seem to put the heebie-jeebies up some of the big players at the best of times but when the wind’s blowing as well then things can get really ugly!

Tour diary: Eastbourne, Day Three
Jankovic: I’ve lost my motivation
Wozniak hammers Kuznetsova

Eastbourne’s Devonshire Park served up some tricky conditions on day three of the AEGON International and the big names went flying.

First to go was top seed in the men’s event, Russian Igor Andreev, and he was quickly followed through the trap door by third seed in the women’s event, Jelena Jankovic.

The surprises kept coming as French Open champ Svetlana Kuznetsova was made to look very ordinary by Canadian Aleksandra Wozniak.

And late in the day fourth seed Vera Zvonareva’s Wimbledon preparations were dealt a blow when she lost to Frenchwoman Amelie Mauresmo.
