Melanie Oudin’s semi-charmed US Open winning streak is over. This time the 17-year-old American couldn’t recover after another slow start against No.9 seed Caroline Wozniacki, losing 6-2 6-2.
World No.70 Oudin was the youngest quarter finalist at Flushing Meadows since Serena Williams in 1999.
19-year-old Wozniacki, the first Danish player to reach a grand slam semi-final, faces another teen in the final four – 19-year-old Yanina Wickmayer.
